The concept behind the building is that it grows from the landscape.  The building approach is a gently curving ramp, providing a procession to the first floor entrance, overlooking the sports pitches. The building layout focuses on the landscape and activities that take place around it. This idea is enhanced through the use of a curved over-sailing green roof and turfed areas of terrace at first floor. The building materials are chosen to fit with context, using local stone across the ground floor and timber boarding to the first.
